Location & Decorating Ideas!
The weather was is bad today; the roads are worse, and we couldn’t check out the Avon Inn. :(
So it looks like we’re having the wedding/reception at the Burgundy Basin! I just confirmed the date and we have a follow-up meeting at noon on the 22nd.
One thing done, omg!
Decorating Ideas:
- pedistals with flowers at the end of last isle ONLY

- paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling of gazebo
- Wish Tree: The purpose of the tree is for guests to write down their advice or well wishes on a card and than hang their wish from our tree.

- chair covers (the ones the ceremony site provides are plain ugly folding chairs. They will need to be covered or replaced with white wooden ones.)
- a memorial candle w/multiple names on it (grandparents x2, uncle bob)
- pictures in frames comparing baby uses vs adult uses

- bubbles blown at end of ceremony/reception (whenever), not rice/bird seed thrown
Also, weddingbycolor.com is a FANTASTIC website! I mentioned it before, and if I didn’t have this blog, I might make one over there!

I like this photographer too. Her site took a while to load, but once it did it was pretty cool. Once again though, it didn’t list any prices.
Doooooom.

This is so cool. I wonder if the Burgundy Basin has a setting area like this…

Such pretty fall colors!

I love the drama of this one, but I know its the setting that makes the photo.

Hilarious! I must have a shot like this. It’s a kick in the pants! Oh, I slay myself. XD

YAY!

TJT Photography
There was a postcard for TJT Photography in the folder that The Burgundy Basin gave us, so I thought I’d check them out.

I really like the idea of this one; to have everyone in a picture. I feel bad for the people right behind the bride and groom though, lol.

Look! During ceremony shot!

A jumping picture at a wedding?! YES. I wonder how many takes this took.

This is adorable. I hope there are enough leaves at my wedding!
The guy has done a lot of work around Rochester, wedding and non-wedding related, which I think is really cool. He even went to RIT, so it shows that he’s dedicated to the area. I don’t know why, but I like that. Maybe because it implies that he knows how the weather is, so he might be better apt to shoot in various weather? I don’t know.
There isn’t any pricing or package info on the site. This sets off an impending feeling of doom.

I’m surprised, but I actually like how these people (this person?) edits photos!

Pictures like this make me wonder if my color scheme is so wrong for a fall wedding.

This is the picture that made me check them out. AMAZING.

I take this kind photo all the time! Someone taking a picture of something I want to take a picture of? Yes, please!

Adorable.

So romantic.

Bridal Bouquets
I’m having a hard time picking out a bouquet because I’m not sure how my flower idea will work. I want the people on the isles to add flowers to my bouquet as I walk down the isle. Maybe start off with a small bouquet, add as I go, and have my mom tie a ribbon around the whole thing before I stand next to John? That would be nice.
These are some bouquets I like from Bloomers Floral & Gifts:

Except I would have pink lilies and I would use lisianthus instead of the daisies.

Might have another flower instead of the red roses. I don’t want a rose-heavy bouquet.

These are from Enright Florist.

I don’t know if I like the long ones dangling though.

My version would have MUCH LESS green in it though…

And some from Joseph’s Floral & Gifts.

I’m actually ok with the green in this one. I would replace the little pink flowers with white ones though, maybe stephanotis or sweet peas, if they work.

But not ok with the green in this one, lol. I don’t like how it’s pretty much only lilies though.
